The Guide For Working Families by Dr. Sarah Jenkins is a handbook that brings together all of the various information and resources essential for working families.

The book was easy to read and all of the information is put forth in a very clear and concise manner. The book contains four main sections.

Section One: Employment Rights This section explains and deals with topics such as Maternity/ Paternity Leave and pay.

Section Two: Childcare Options Here you will find a great deal of information regarding the various types of childcare available, general guidelines, what to look for in a childcare provider and resources for child care for disabled children and those with special needs.

Section Three: Financial Support for Working Families This is the section that gives information about tax credits. It also includes information about Child Benefit, Income Support, Childcare Vouchers and the Child Trust Fund.

Section Four: Returning to Education or Training This section has information regarding financial support for earning and the first steps to be taken if one chooses to further their education and wanting to gain qualifications in various areas. It also gives a list of organizations that can help one return to education.

The names and contact details of various organizations are found throughout the book. There is also a list of organizations at the end of the book complete with names, numbers, and a brief description of what each organization does.

The Guide For Working Families organized in an easy to understand way and contains a vast amount of relevant information. It is really beneficial to have all of the information mentioned above incorporated into one guide.

This book is a wonderful resource for any working family.
